GOOD NEWS TEAM
The Good News Team focuses on the areas in the acronym HOME: Hospitality, Outreach, Membership, and Evangelism. Through these areas, this team strives to create opportunities to engage with people in the local community, value church members, and welcome all visitors. The Good News Team plans community outreach activities and also organizes opportunities for fellowship with our current members and friends. Some activities include distributing cookies on tax day and organizing the summer swim party.
The Visitor Caring Committee (VCC) is a sub-committee of the Good News Team that meets each Monday morning and finds ways to encourage visitors and members.
WORSHIP & MUSIC TEAM
The Worship and Music Team coordinates all aspects of the worship ministry of Clinton Presbyterian Church. Members of this team work closely with our session, the pastor, and the music director to plan and create meaningful worship opportunities. Meetings are held once each month after Sunday worship.
MISSION TEAM
The Mission Team leads the congregation in spreading God’s love beyond the walls of the church building. It strives to reach out to people in need in the immediate community and around the world. This team encourages the congregation to participate in the worldwide mission of Christ through prayer and sharing our resources.
The Mission Team participates in supporting Little Children of the Philippines, providing giving opportunities, oversees and operates the Community Cupboard, and facilitates the One Great Hour of Sharing as well as the Christmas Joy Offering, just to name a few.
PROPERTY TEAM
The Property Team is a great place to serve if you are gifted with the ability to fix things. If you love to help with property maintenance and upkeep, we would love to have you join us. The work of this team ensures that the property is up to code, oversees occasional custodial opportunities, and looks for potential necessary building updates.
DEACON MINISTRY
Help serve the body of Christ through the Deacon Ministry. This team provides vital care for the church through a team of volunteers who come together to care for the congregation through prayer, encouraging cards, phone calls, and providing meals. The Deacons also coordinate funeral meals and communion setup and cleanup. This team meets once a month.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION TEAM
The Christian Education (CE) Team coordinates and unifies the church’s Christian formation program by providing Christ-centered learning experiences. These explore the Christian faith according to the reformed tradition and how our faith relates to daily living. The goals of the CE program are to teach the Word of God, strengthen faith, and encourage discipleship among members.
The CE team also organizes Sunday School for all ages, plans VBS, and offers Bible studies and confirmation classes.
